Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has ordered the striking civil servants to resume work immediately or risk being summarily sacked.

The Governor read the rio act while addressing some youths, who paid him a solidarity visit at the Government House, Owerri.

Three men have been jailed after being convicted of running an animal brothel in Swansea, Wales.

The ring leaders, Adam Cofferty and John Cofferty and their father David Cofferty ran a ‘gentlemen’s club’ known as “The Ram Inn” in Grange Road, Swansea.

The brothers, 31 and 28 and father 52 admitted keeping an animal brothel between January 2011 and July 2015 and a jury took less than three hours to find them all guilty.

During their trial at Swansea Crown Court the jury heard they setup a website on the hidden “Deep Web” where people from all over the country could select the animal of their liking and book in for an appointment. Continue...

A 40-year-old Melbourne, Australia, woman who had a sexual relationship with her child's 12-year-old friend, spanning a period of five months, will spend at least six years in prison after she gave birth to the boy's child.

The woman who has been jailed on charges of child abuse, was said to be having unprotected sex with the boy at least once a week over the period.

Notorious kidnapper popularly known as Vampire paraded in Imo

The Imo state police command have arrested and paraded a notorious kidnapper identified as Henry Chibueze aka "Vampire". Vampire was arrested after a failed attempt by him and his gang members to kidnap judges of the Imo state tribunal who were lodged at Disney Hotels, along Onitsha Owerri Road recently.

According to reports, security operatives in the state who acted on a tip off, swooped on the gang members as they attempted to kidnap the judges. Man Who Beats Up Prostitute Gets 4 Months in Jail in Abuja

Abuja Zuba Upper Area court on Monday sentenced Uche Duru, 34, of no fixed address, to four months imprisonment for beating up a prostitute.

The presiding Judge, Mallam Aminu Sa'ad, gave judgement after Duru pleaded guilty to the one count charge of causing grievous body injury to the complainant.

Court Grants Ohakim N270m Bail For N270m Fraud

                         
A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday granted a former Governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, bail in the sum of N270m.

Ohakim, who is being prosecuted for N270m fraud allegedly perpetrated in 2008, is to produce a surety resident in Abuja to guarantee the bail.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola, in his ruling on the bail application, filed by Ohakim, also ordered the prosecuting agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, ‎to submit the passport and other travel documents seized from the former governor to the Deputy Chief Registrar of the court. Court orders ex Jigawa gov, Sule Lamido and 2 sons remanded in prison till Sept 28th

A Federal high court sitting in Kano has ordered that former governor of Jigawa state Sule Lamido and two of his sons, Aminu and Mustapha be remanded in Kano Prison till September 28th when their bail application will be heard. The Governor of Anambra state Willie Obiano says Boko Haram prisoners who were recently taken to the Ekwulobia prison in the state will soon be relocated. Governor Obiano said this after a meeting with members of the National Security Council who were at the government house in Awka earlier today. Addressing the press, Governor Obiano said 

"I want to reassure you that the meeting went very well. A man was last Wednesday alleged to have slept with his 16 -year-old daughter (names withheld) at Yimi village in Zuba, Gwagwalada Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

A resident said the incident happened at about 9:34 p.m. when the father went into one of the rooms where his children were sleeping, woke up his daughter and took her into his bedroom.

A 38-year-old housewife, impregnated by her married secret lover committed suicide after she gave birth to twins in Lagos State, western Nigeria.

P.M.NEWS had earlier reported that Mrs Joy Bakare died at Aya-Oye street, Ejigbo, Lagos where her secret lover identified as Fatai Rafiu kept her in a flat occupied by a single mother after she became pregnant for him.

CAN rejects relocation of Boko Haram members to Anambra

The Anambra state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, yesterday July 6th held a press conference where they rejected the relocation of Boko Haram members to Ekwulobia prisons in the state. Speaking through its state Chairman, Tim Okpala, the association said relocation of the terror suspects poses a security threat to the people of the state

"We condemn the act of bring insurgents to an ordinary prison like Ekwulobia Prison in Anambra state. We recommend that they be transferred to maximum security prisons in this country. We ask the Federal government as a matter of urgency to relocate the Boko Haram inmates to other places".
