Couple arrested for using their children for child porn

A 47-year-old man and 34-year-old woman from Bedford, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been jailed for six-and-a-half years each after admitting creating indecent images and videos of their own children.

One of the children was made to use a sex toy while being filmed, Bedfordshire Police said.

Officers said the woman pleaded guilty to two charges of making indecent photographs of children, one count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child and one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Continue...

It is unclear how they came by the bodies of the yet to be identified persons.

2 brothers beat up pregnant woman over electricity bill

Two blood brothers, Rabiu Rasaq, 42, and Sulaimon Rasaq, 38, have been remanded at the Kirikiri Prison by an Isolo Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos State, for allegedly beating up a pregnant woman and her husband during an altercation that ensued over electricity bill.

The pregnant woman, Blessing Eke and her husband, Samuel, reside at No. 9, Bakare Street, Mushin, in the house the sibling's late father left for them.

It was gathered that before Eke and his wife moved into the house, the suspects had not been paying their electricity bill over the years, claiming that since they are the landlords, they could not pay the bills. Continue...

Video: Shock as woman gives birth to 'bathroom slippers' in Bauchi

This story sound stranger than fiction but the video that has been circulating on the social media tells otherwise.

It is the story of a 25-year-old housewife in Azare, Bauchi State, who, after complaining of strange movements in her womb, gave birth to a pair of bathroom slippers at the Azare General Hospital.

According to the video, the medical director who conducted the delivery on the woman, narrated how the woman, Amina Usman, was rushed to the hospital after she complained of movements inside her womb and  after going through labour, she reportedly gave birth to the slippers.

Video: Angry mob burn suspected robber alive in Port Harcourt

According to a video posted by an eyewitness, this suspected thief was burnt alive by an angry mob in Port Harcourt.

In the graphic video, the young man who was well and truly beaten before being set ablaze, is heard screaming the name of Jesus several times and begging for his life to be spared but the crowd will have none of that as they made sure he was set on fire.

​APC accuses Wike of squandering N120 billion in 100 days

The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has accused the state governor, Nyesom Wike, of squandering over N120 billion during his first 100 days in office.

Mr. Wike is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The APC, in a statement on Monday by its chairman, Davies Ikanya, said the governor had been merely engaging in falsehood and propaganda.

The party alleged that the money included N30 billion Mr. Wike borrowed shortly after assuming office, the N10 billion left by the previous administration and over N80 billion that accrued from Internally Generated Revenue and the Federation Account. Continue...

Post UTME Cancelled!!! UNIABUJA to admit 4,000 out of 16,000 candidates without test

Four thousand of the prospective students who applied to the University of Jos (UNIJOS) will be offered admission without writing the post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME).

According to the spokesperson of the varsity, Waziri Garba, who spoke to Daily Trust, the institution had cancelled the post-UTME tests because of the cost implication.

"Initially we had about 16,000 candidates applying then after JAMB did their redistribution exercise we came down to about 6,000 and we need about 4,000 students only," Garba said. Continue...
