COVID-19: 241 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Nigeria

      

                   

A total number of 241 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. 

From the data of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 142 cases were recorded in Lagos, 15 in Oyo, 13 in FCT, 12 in Kano, 11 in Edo, 10 in Delta, 9 in Kaduna, 9 in Rivers, 8 in Borno, 4 in Jigawa, 3 in Gombe, 3 in Plateau, 1 in Osun, and 1 in Bauchi state. 

Sadly Nigeria has now recorded 10819 cases of COVID-19 with 314 deaths, while 3239 patients have been discharged from various Isolation centers across the coun

ISIS: Female Student Who Left UK To Join ISIS Is Killed In Airstrike

One of the three Bethnal Green schoolgirls who left their homes to join ISIS is believed to have been killed by airstrike in Raqqa. 17yrs old Khadiza Sultana is said to have died after her home was destroyed by a bomb that was believed to have been dropped by a Russian plane.

An Igbosere Magistrate’s Court sitting in Lagos State on Monday sentenced one Gabriel Happiness, a housemaid to 2-and-half years imprisonment without an option of fine.18 year old  Happiness allegedly stole her employer’s N1.5m in less than 3 hours of being employed. 

A police prosecutor, Sergeant Cyriacus Osuji, said Happiness was arrested alongside her accomplices; her step father, Gabriel Igbang, 30, and her mum, Gabriel Joy.

The maid was said to have stolen the cash from her employer, Mrs. Bolanle Ibukunoluwa’s residence in Lagos, then proceeded to a bush in Ogun to bury her loot, before escaping to Benin, the Edo State capital. Continue...
