President Goodluck Jonathan is at the moment locked in a crucial meeting with some of his Ministers in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, which details was reported by Silverbird Television, is in connection with the ongoing collation of the results of last weekend’s presidential election.
Jonathan is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the election. The results, which are being announced at the headquarters of the Independent National electoral Commission, largely tilts towards the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari, emerging as president-elect. Silverbird Television also reported that Jonathan has summoned the leadership of the PDP for another meeting by 6pm.
The Eagle Online learnt that the leadership of the PDP, led by its National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mua’zu, is, however, meeting at the Banquet Hall of State House ahead of the meeting with Jonathan. The leadership of the PDP is expected to take a position on the outcome of the election for presentation to the President when they meet later in the day.
