Ailing Nollywood actor may be flown abroad

Acting on a medical report that Nollywood actor, James Uche, is due for a kidney transplant, some members of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul in Our Lady the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Gbagada, are considering flowing him abroad for treatment.Although no destination has been chosen yet, members of the Society may be looking at a few options. One of them told our correspondent, in a telephone interview, that their next move will be determined by the content of a comprehensive medical report on the actor’s condition.

She said, “We are waiting for a comprehensive medical report on Prince James Uche’s condition. We have asked the doctor to make a referral for treatment abroad and send us the cost implication. Even one of our parishioners left for India recently, though on a different business. We have asked her to provide some information on the quality of health service in that country. It will enable us to make a decision about where to take Uche for proper medical care. We don’t want to make mistakes.”On Sunday, the Society of St. Vincent De Paul at Our Lady the Queen of Peace Catholic Church held a meeting with the medical team in the parish to discuss what to do about Uche’s failing health.
