True Love? Man stores dead wife in living room freezer for 5 months

A man who has kept his dead wife's body in an 'ice coffin' in his living room for five months is being investigated by police in China. 

Jiang Maode, 53, has been storing his wife Yang Huiqing in his family home for the five months since she died but has no plans to remove the body in the near future.Maode insists he will keep her body in their home for the rest of his life, reports the People's Daily Online. 

Just before she passed away I promised her that I would keep her at home,' said Maode, who burns incense by the coffin every day. Continue...

A native of Ezima village in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Mr. Charles Ikegwuruka, has been driven in a wheelbarrow into exile in his maternal home, Isu, in the same local government.

Charles was sent into exile for dragging his younger brother, Mr. Osiwu Ikegwuruka, to the dreaded Okija shrine (also called Ogwugwummiri Okija) in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Narrating his ordeal to Southern City News, Charles (in his mid-50s) said his brother (Osiwu) accused him of making his wife (names withheld) barren. Continue...

The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha Tuesday in Abuja alluded to the fact that it was the exit of five Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors from the party that gave APC its victory in the last general elections.

Trouble For Taxi Driver As Prostitute Dies In His Home

The police in Lagos State have arrested a driver, identified simply as Utebor, for the death of a lady in his apartment.

Punch Metro learnt that the suspect picked up the victim around Baruwa Estate in the Ipaja area of the state, on Friday.

A police source told our correspondent that investigations showed that the suspect took the lady home and as they were having sex, the victim died.

A neighbour was said to have alerted policemen from the Ipaja division, who arrested the suspect and deposited the victim’s corpse in a mortuary. Continue...

IG’s squad arrests five policemen, 98 others over Edo cult war

 

BENIN—FIVE police officers were arrested Saturday in Benin, following their alleged attempt to shield some suspected cultists from arrest.

This came as the crack team of detectives sent by the Inspector-General, Solomon Arase, to Edo State over the cult war in the state looked set to prosecute 11 kingpins of different cult groups, including a medical doctor, an engineer and some public servants for cultism, fingered in conspiracy and murder of 10 persons.

The five policemen were arrested by men of the IG’s crack team.

Vanguard learned that problem started at Oliha Market, where some youths engaged themselves in a free-for-all as two persons, including one identified as Castro, were allegedly stabbed, while several others, including market women, sustained various degrees of injuries. Continue...

Couple die mysteriously same day, same time, different locations

It was a bizarre coincidence when a married couple, Philip Mubatapasango and his wife Previous Sigodho, reportedly died mysteriously on the same day under similar circumstances but at different locations, reports MyZimbabwe.

The ill-fated couple from Chabvuta village in in Guruve, a suburb of Zimbabwe, were said to be foaming in the mouth and bleeding from the mouth, nose and ears at the same time and both died less than an hour later, leaving their relations in a state of shock.

A district senior police officer, Chief Inspector Phillip Checho confirmed the deaths and said the authority is still trying to put together statements from people who saw the couple before they died. Continue...

A 28-year-old, Chantae Marie Gilman, from Washington, USA, has been arrested and charged after she admitted breaking into the home of a man in the dead of night and raping him, the Mirror UK reports.

Police say the horrified victim awoke to find Gilman who weighs nearly 16 stone, on top of him while holding his hands above his head

Wife tells court she lost 2-months pregnancy after pastor husband raped her

A 38-year-old make-up artist, Mary Iyayi, has urged a Lagos Island Customary Court to dissolve her two-year-old marriage to her husband, Pastor Samuel Iyayi, due to marital rape and sexual abuse.

She told the court that her husband raped her when she was two-months-old pregnant, causing her to lose the pregnancy.
