Boko Haram attack: 30 Gwoza police officers still missing – IGP
The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Suleiman Abba, has said that about 30 police officers were still missing from the August 20 attack on the Police Training College in Gwoza, Borno State, by suspected Boko Haram fighters.
Abba made the disclosure Wednesday in Abuja, during a strategic meeting with senior police officers from the rank of Commissioner of Police and above.
The IGP, who described the incident as “saddening”, however, expressed the hope that the missing officers, will return in good health.
He pledged the readiness of the force, to provide the necessary tools required to facilitate policing in the country.
