Governor Ngilari said this in Yola, the state capital in reaction to the recent attack by Boko Haram on Mubi town.
According to Premium Times, Ngilari said:
“The reason why we are facing this insurgency is because we have offended God, and when the rest of the world is going to space it’s unfortunate that we are left behind, plagued by insurgency and other problems.”
“We are under siege for now, although security agents are doing their best. With prayers, very soon, Boko Haram will become a thing of the past. No matter the situation, one day it will come to an end,” he added.
The governor also stated that though the insurgency defies logic, it would soon be part of history as even the Second World War which claimed 20 million lives is now part of the past.
