The Chairman of the Silverbird Group, Mr. Ben Murray-Bruce will reportedly contest for the chance to represent the Bayelsa-East senatorial district in the 2015 elections.
Mr. Ben Murray-Bruce, the Chairman of the Silverbird Group, will be vying for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket in the 2015 elections to represent the Bayelsa-East senatorial district.
Mr. Murray-Bruce will compete with Dr. Daru Owei, a former General Manager of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company, to be chosen as the party’s sole candidate, Punch reports.
Both aspirants are said to be from the Akassa speaking group in Brass, where the senatorial seat has been zoned to.
The former Director General of the Nigeria Television Authority sought to contest for the governorship of Bayelsa in 2011, also on the platform of the PDP, but was disqualified by the party.
