Call In The Votes: Kanu Nwankwo For Senator, Okocha For Governor

Wednesday, October 8, 2014Romario and Bebeto were voted into Brazil's parliament as senator and state deputy in Rio de Janeiro
Romario and Bebeto were voted into Brazil's parliament as senator and state deputy in Rio de Janeiro

Early in the week, two Brazil legends Romario and Bebeto were voted into the country's government as senator and state deputy., if that can be replicated in Nigeria with Kanu as Senator and Okocha as Governor.
Strange things can sometimes become reality for some of those who wish it to
Brazilian football legends, Romario and Bebeto were elected into the country’s parliament at the weekend
Romario and Bebeto, heroes of the 1994 World Cup winning Selecaos were voted as Senator in the state of Rio de Janeiro and State Deputy respectively. More after the cut..
.
Romario won under the flagship of the Brazilian Socialist Partywhile Bebeto was re-elected as the Democratic Party candidate
If the same can be replicated in Nigeria where former football heroes are elected into political offices for a change
The nearest two that fit the description of the two Brazillians are Kanu Nwankwo and Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha who helped Nigeria to the 1996 Olympic gold medal and winning positions at AFCON tournaments
Fancy it were Kanu who is senator for Owerri Federal Constituency and Austin Jay Jay Okocha for State Deputy of Delta State.
There have been news of musicians, actors and actresses going into politics… maybe some of our ex-sportsmen and women should consider towing the line of governance
Would Kanu be so dazzling that the electorate would vote him on a landslide? And would Okocha being so good on the pitch that they named him twice, be that enigmatic to be voted in as the second most important figure in the state?

Kanu is already an Order Of The Niger (OON)
