Coach Stephen Keshi alleged that some people are working against his success as coach of the Super Eagles and also want to sabotage the country's qualification to Morocco 2015
Coach Stephen Keshi alleged after Nigeria’s loss to Sudan in the match day three of AFCON 2015 Qualifiers that his efforts at achieving success with the team is being hindered by some persons who will not name for reasons known to him
Keshi was quoted by Africanfootball as saying: “There is (a) sabotage by some people, who I won’t mention their names but who know themselves. They want to run this team down.
“Some people are ready to sell this country for a dime. They want to sabotage the Super Eagles.’’
Nigeria sits at the bottom of Group A with one point from three games and stand the chance of missing out of Morocco 2015; a record which only follows Egypt’s failure to reach the 2012 edition of the Nations Cup as champions from the previous tournament
“It’s a shame. They don’t want this team to get to the AFCON, they want this team to lose outright. But they are not God.
“And this is not Keshi’s team. This is a national team. Keshi is a professional coach and after this (assignment), he will get another job elsewhere,” the Big boss added.
Hope can still be revived if Nigeria beats Sudan in the return tie on October 15, and if either Group A games results favour them.
