Ohakim: I may dump PDP if…

Ohakim: I may dump PDP if…
Former governor of Imo State and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Chief Ikedi Ohakim has warned that he and his supporters will leave the PDP if the “injustice done at the recently concluded governorship primaries of the party” is not redressed.
Ohakim was rumoured to have joined the Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA) a week after the primary election following his inability to clinch the PDP gubernatorial ticket, but speaking on a radio programme Wednesday in Owerri, he maintained that he is still a member of the PDP, but might be forced to leave the party if justice was not done.
The former governor faulted the party’s governorship primaries saying the process was not entirely fair and transparent.
He stressed that the Chairman of the Electoral Panel that conducted the election, Hon. Tengu Tsegba, has been apersonal friend of the Deputy Speaker, Chief Emeka Ihedioha for 12 years and should not have conducted the election. The ex-governor added that some aspirants objected to Tsegba presiding over the primaries but nothing was done to correct it.
