The Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu moved a motion on Wednesday that all member countries of the Economic Community of West African States should adopt a common currency, which would be a legal tender in all West African countries.
Ekweremadu also suggested that common visas for visitors travelling to any of the West African countries should be adopted so as to mark the 40th anniversary of the sub regional body, ECOWAS.
