The marriage between Ini Edo and Phillip Ehiagwina may have broken down irretrievably.
This is not a palatable news at all, as it is alleged that the marriage of star Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, and her American based husband, Phillip Ehiagwina, has joined the league of celebrity marriages that has crashed.
According to privileged information gathered by Pulse.ng, the marriage was actually in name only as it had broken up years back and the couple were only living a lie, attending functions together, so as to show the world they were still together.
And to finalise the closure of the marriage, the Edo State born Phillip is reported to have demanded back the bride price he paid on Ini's head and her people had obliged him by promptly refunding the money, according to tradition. Continue after the cut..
The marriage which was conducted in 2008, we learn, has been hanging on a balance and finally packed up more than a month ago, with the major allegation hinging on infidelity, abandonment and the inability to bear a child by Ini.
A close friend of the actress allege that the marriage broke down due to very strong allegations of 'serial cheating with evidence' but that the couple who are pretending to still be in talking terms, might cite irreconcilable differences.
Sources close to Phillip say the couple has been living apart for almost a year, with Ini staying in her mansion in the Lekki area of Lagos, while Phillip lived in Ogudu GRA, where he runs a travel agency.
The sources also report that he has been around the area for a while now and clubs around the vicinity with different ladies, without his wife.
The close friend of the actress also pointed out;
A group of ladies accosted Ini Edo recently and beat the living daylights out of her.
The reason for the beating is that one of the girls who is dating a Lekki big boy named Lewa, alleged that Ini has been dating her boyfriend for the past three years and it was time to stop and face her marriage but unfortunately, Ini's marriage was already over by the time they accosted her.
The marriage of Ini Edo and Phillip Ehiagwina, has always been mired in one controversy or the other from the beginning.
Recall that Ini allegedly snatched Phillip from a London based actress, Ruth Okoro, who is from her home state of Akwa Ibom; all efforts by friends to stop her from getting married to the Edo born business man proved abortive.
Ini went ahead with the marriage and Ruth went gaga, rending curses upon curses on her 'sister'. Ruth's anger was that she was the one that took Phillip to London before he absconded to America and she vowed that his marriage to Ini Edo would not last.
Is this the result of such curses?
