According to the president of Queen ofAso Nigeria Mr. Desmond Agboola, this year event is designed to promote the cultural heritage and tourism value of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and also to celebrate the centenary anniversary of Nigeria.
The 9th edition of Queen of Aso Nigeria 2014 has surely gone down well in the history books as the event was highly attended with the twin ballroom has filled the capacity, and all in attendance expressed delight over the obvious improvement both in quality and content of the event.
For instance, this year, other tittles were added to the star crown. Eventually, Miss Ogenna Ekwubiriwho represented Igbo ethnic group emerged the first and ever Queen of Aso International while Miss Beauty Aliyu representing the Fulani tribe emerged Queen of Aso Ambassador. Other winners were: Miss Sandra Godfrey from Ijaw who emerged Queen Of Aso Tourism; Miss Jennifer Lam, the Kalabari queen who emerged the prestigious Queen Of Aso Centenary; and Queen Ekiti, Miss Deola Oseni who was decorated Queen Of Aso Model of the year 2014.
In addition, some contestants also won special recognition awards for various areas of outstanding performance. The awards include: best in public speaking Miss Nneka Igwe(Queen Ogoni); Best Dinner Wear, Miss Ogenna Ekwubiri (Queen Igbo); Best Traditional Wear; Miss Jennifer Lam; Miss Amity, Miss Linda Ndukwe; and The Most Photogenic Award, Miss Yeside Olasimbo (Yoruba). All the awards were presented by the Executive Brand Manager of Queen of Aso Nigeria, Mr. Agboola Kingsley.
One of the high points of the events was the presentation of Aso Outstanding Awards to distinguished personalities and two new branded cars to the top two beauty queens of the night.
Queen of Aso Nigeria 2014 And Queen of Aso International 2014, who are also entitledto an all-expense paid trip to represent Nigeria at the Miss Africa Naiades which comes up on November 15 this year.
The event was attended by a large cache of celebrities other beauty q1ueens, top government officials and diplomats and it was anchored by Top Cool FM presenter Krsyy D BOSS and CEO of Front Row Media Mrs. Ejiro Igbogidi.
