Presidency fires back at Soyinka over epic biblical illustration

soyinka and gej
The presidency has reacted to Wole Soyinka’s comparison of the Goodluck Jonathan administration and the Biblical King Nebuchadnezzar’s reign.
The Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, responded to Soyinka stating that his alliance with the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), has clouded his judgement:
“It is quite saddening to note that Prof Wole had become so close to the opposition party so much that he has stopped giving appreciable and unbiased contribution to national topics. Our eminent professor also sadly plays the ostrich as he failed to reprimand Governor Amaechi, who is the ‘national champion of impunity and official recklessness’. The administration of President Goodluck Jonathan prides itself as the most liberal, keeping faith with adherence to rule of law and tolerance,”  he stated. Continue after the cut...

Professor Wole Soyinka had, in a public statement, laid it on the Jonathan administration accusing it of high-handedness in the handling of several state issues including the defection of the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
