Pastor Sthembiso Zondo in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal has asked all those who have the naked video of him to not delete it.
“Those who have the video of me, don’t delete it. To those who have deleted the video from your phones let the memory of the video be engraved in your minds so that when you are faced with tough situations you remember that there was once a person whose entire body wasexposed to the world and yet they did not commit suicide, but they got back up,” said Zondo.
Zondo’s response was welcomed by all who attended the Zero to Hero Church at the Moses Mabhida Stadium’s hall in Durban on Sunday, where the pastor spoke out for the first time about the video which went viral last week. Continue...
An emotional Zondo apologised to the Church and thanked Ukhozi FM, pastors and those who had shown him support during this difficult time.
“The pain I went through after the video had come out, was nothing compared to the pain I felt when I was being threatened about it, before it had been released,” he said.
Social media was abuzz with many discussing the pastors response, with some referring to him asinspirational.
Last week SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago told The New Age that both the SABC and Ukhozi FM were investigating whether the incident would have reputational impact on the station.
