The Ekiti State University student suffered a grievious cut near the base of his skull in the PDP, APC clash
A youth, believed to be a student of the Ekiti State University, (EKSU), Ado Ekiti, had suffered a grievous cut on his occiput region (near the skull base) in a clash that is not unconnected to the arrest of some students’ leaders in Ekiti State.
Student Pulse gathered the supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had clashed following the arrest of the National Vice-President, External, of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Tosin Ogunkuade in the aftermath of Presidential Candidate Muhammadu Buhari's rally in the state. According to the APC State Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, the student leader was arrested because he had addressed the crowd at the Saturday rally and discredited the PDP government.
But the state governor, Ayodele Fayose, said the student, alongside three APC "thugs were arrested with guns, axes, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons."
The injured student [pictured] is presently receiving medical attention according online reports.
