Graphic pics from fatal accident in Onitsha today (it's horrific)

There was a fatal accident in Onitsha this afternoon. A Tanker laden with fuel which was coming from Awka and moving towards Asaba failed brake at the ever busy Asaba Park at Upper Iweka, Onitsha and exploded upon crashing into the park, burning more than 20 people beyond recognition and also burning 10 commercial buses parked at the park. Most of the dead bodies have been deposited at the Toronto Hospital Morgue by FRSC Officials. See the photos after the cut but please be warned, it's horrific...

Fear Of Buhari? Governor, Minister And PDP Chieftain Flee Nigeria On Democracy Day

Reports just reaching us indicate that a governor, minister and a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain have left the shores of Nigeria on a British Airways flight in a move to avoid being probed by the incoming president, Muhammadu Buhari.

In a report published by Sahara Reporters, Olusegun Olutoyin Aganga, the current minister of industry, trade and investment, Tony Anenih, a PDP chieftain, and the governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam, departed Nigeria in a flight out of Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

24 year old Anita Oluchi Okore, a graduate of Banking and Finance from Abia state University (pictured above) was murdered a few weeks ago in Port Harcourt by men believed to be ritualists. According to a family member, Anita, who is based in Ebonyi, had gone to see her older sister in Port Harcourt when she unfortunately ran into these men. Anita had called her dad to tell him she was about to enter a bus that will take her from the park to her sister's house. Congregants in a church in South Africa started to undress in church as self proclaimed prophet Penuel Mnguni of the End Times Disciples Ministries in Soshanguve extension 13, Tshwane preached.

He said God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden with no clothes on, and because they had faith in the Lord, they didn’t even know they were undressed.

If not for the timely intervention of the men and officers of Nigeria Police Force, a man said to be in his 30s was nearly lynched in Owerri, Imo State by a mob after he was allegedly hypnotized a young lady with the intention to kidnap her.

The incident which occurred at the ever busy Douglas road in Owerri witnessed the young man in a keke NAPEP touch a young girl inside the keke, who immediately went into amnesia and could no longer remember where she was.

Kidnappers Abandon N42.2m Ransom In Niger State

Police pursuit of some suspects believed to be kidnappers forced the gang to abandon N42.2 million ransom obtained from families of their victims in Kontagora, Niger State.

Acting on a tip off, police stormed the hideout of the inter-state gang that has been terrorising people in Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States, but the kidnappers took to their heels with the aid of get-away motorcycles and left the money behind when they saw the policemen.

Tragedy stuck when a boy shot his friend Mackeon Schulte to death.

The teenager was scared when he heard the sound of stones hitting his window. His two friends appeared at his window at 2:30am trying to wake him up.

A Brazilian blogger who investigated child prostitution as well as corrupt politicians was tortured and scalped before his killers chopped off his head, police have claimed.

The body of Evany Jose Metzker, 67, was found in the southeastern Minas Gerais state. There was evidence that he had been severely tortured before he was eventually decapitated. As well as child prostitution and political corruption, Metzker investigated drug dealing.

The Brazilian journalist's union condemned the killing and urged authorities to find who was responsible for the brutal murder. A spokesman said:

Girls Are Not Smiling!! 20-year-old Girl Stabs Lover Boy To Death In Imo State

Tragedy struck yesterday at Ubomiri community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State when a 20-year-old girl allegedly stabbed her undergraduate lover to death with a kitchen knife in their house.

The suspect, Chisom Anyanwu who is a student of Akwakuama Girls Secondary School, Owerri had allegedly killed his lover, who visited her following an argument.

The deceased, simply identified as Apo, aged 28, an undergraduate and a native of Egbeada also in Mbaitoli council area had paid an unscheduled visit to his girlfriend at their family house at about noon yesterday. Continue...

A 35-year-old man, Bello Rabiu, has been arrested and arraigned before a senior magistrate’s court in Katsina over the killing of his new born baby girl.

He was said to have strangled the one day old baby and buried her in his compound after she was given birth to by his wife, Fatima Bello.

Rabiu was infuriated that the baby he eagerly awaited turned out to be a female, against his wish.

Police prosecuting officer, Hashimu Musa, told the court that Rabiu who resides in Dankwaro village of Charanchi LGA of Katsina State, committed the offence at midnight on May 4, 2015. Continue...

The Onitsha Area Police Command has arrested a nine-man armed robbery gang operating in various locations in Onitsha.

The Area Commander Mr. Philip Ezekiel (ACP), who disclosed this in an exclusive interview with New Telegraph in his office, said the robbery suspects were arrested by the Inland Town police Station while on patrol.
