Police arrest nine-man armed robbery gang in Onitsha
The Onitsha Area Police Command has arrested a nine-man armed robbery gang operating in various locations in Onitsha.
The Area Commander Mr. Philip Ezekiel (ACP), who disclosed this in an exclusive interview with New Telegraph in his office, said the robbery suspects were arrested by the Inland Town police Station while on patrol.

The Area Commander reiterated the commitment of his command to ensure a crime free society in the business community warning that all those who may take advantage of the dismantling of road blocks in the country to stage a comeback in the commercial city would be wasting their time.
He advised members of the public to always have confidence and feel free to approach the police on their nipping point wherever they wish to do so to give them useful information.
He said the ban on road block across the country by the Inspector General of Police has given a boost to the operation of the police and her image pointing out that it has given room for aggressive policing of the country through effective and efficient policing.
