The politics of 2015 have commenced and the picture of what to expect is already getting clear. Nigeria's ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and the Speaker of the House of Reps were conspicuously absent from a meeting where the NEC of the Peoples Democratic Party endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s sole candidate for the 2015 presidential election.
The NEC took the decision after other organs, including the National Working Committee and the Chief Tony Anenih-led Board of Trustees said they had endorsed Jonathan during their meetings in Abuja.
Obasanjo and Tambuwal sent no apologies to the NEC meeting, thus fuelling speculations of an agenda.
